Rector Alois Nečas today welcomed the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, and his wife, Eva, to the University of Veterinary Sciences Brno. During their visit, the presidential couple was introduced to the unique aspects of veterinary clinical education provided to the university's students.
President Petr Pavel is only the second head of state to visit the university, following T. G. Masaryk a century ago. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of President Masaryk’s historic visit to the Veterinary College, Rector Nečas awarded President Pavel the prestigious Nomisma Gradus Maximi commemorative medal.
